I've been an enthusiastic practitioner of Telehealth since it was rolled out by Medicare, and couple this with use of technology in medical practice. This article published in the most recent "Inspired" magazine of St Vincent's Private highlighted a patient's journey through assessment and management of her cardiomyopathy. The patient (Marion) lived in Albury, more than 3.5 hours from Melbourne, and Telehealth essentially brought her into the rooms in East Melbourne. In the photo, I'm holding a model of a heart and also of a defibrillator.

Most of our Telehealth patient consultations involve patients and clinics from East Gippsland because of my practice in Bairnsdale, but we see patients from all over especially because of my interest in heart failure management and complex cardiology. The full article can be downloaded here.
